Today, March 22, Max Blachman and I were asked to talk about our blogs to Erin Colgan a Live 5 news reporter. She asked Max and me how we got started blogging and what influence does blogging have. Max, a senior political science major at the College of Charleston, told Erin that the influence of young political bloggers is increasing. Max writes his political blog, Democrats In the South, about current political events from the prospective of a Democrat in the heart of the south. My blog was also featured and Erin found it very interesting that I am a college freshman and write about LGBT politics where it is extremely controversial to do so. She asked me if I ever had any doubts or fears writing my blog, and I replied with informing her that even though there may be times where there is fear, I write because I want to let people know that there is a active LGBT community in the south. Make sure to watch the story on Live 5 News at 7pm on Monday, March 26th.
